After downloading GRemote setup you need to fallow the instructions which are described below: 1.Connect your device using USB and be sure that ActiveSyc icon is green.
2. Run GRemote setup. 3. Expand clients' tree and select the proper version for your device. - WVGA - for devices with 800x480 display (HTC Touch HD, SonyEricsson XperiaX1, ...)
- VGA - for devices with 640x480 display (HTC Diamond, HTC Touch Pro,...)
- WQVGA - for devices with 400x240 display (Samsung i900 Omnia,...)
- QVGA - for devices with 320x240 display (most devices)
4. Click next and select where you want to install GRemoteServer. 5. After installing the all files on PC, you will be asked to install GRemote client on your device. If you have already installed older version you should click "Yes" and fallow instructions on your device.
6. If you are using firewall which is included in Windows XP or Vista, and run GRemoteServer for the first time, Windows will asked you a question like on screenshot below. You need to click unblock to allow communication with client app.
7. Now you can go to your mobile device. If you have older version you will be asked about the upgrade. Of course you should click OK.
8. Select storage where you want to install GRemote client.
9.Now you can try out this application. For testing we will use USB connection. So don't disconnect your device and run GRemote app. 
10. If you run GRemote app for the first time you need to go to the profile window and create a new profile.
11. Now click "Find.." button and when application finds server's parameters you should click "Add" button. If you entered password in GRemteServer, you should enter the same here. If you checked "enable blank password" in GRemotServer, you should left password empty. 
12. Now you should see saved profile in Welcome screen, so you can click "Go !!!"
13. If everything goes OK you can establish connection with GRemoteServer - confirm with green icon. On status tab you should see label like on screenshot below.
14. If you have some problems with USB connection you need to check option in control panel on your device. Go to Settings->Connections->Usb to PC and select "advanced network functionality" 
If you still have problems with connection and get "Cennection timeout" you should check your firewall. In all probability it is the source of problems with connection. |
