|How can I assign two (or more) actions to one button e.g. Play/Pause?|
Sometimes you need to use one button to toggle two (or more) functions. For example, if you use Winamp there are two different buttons to Play and Pause, or Open/Close. On Gremote Pro it is possible that these two two actions can be assigned to one button. This article explains how to do this.
First of all, you need to create two groups with unique names, in our example we create Winamp Play and Winamp Pause. Remember these groups must have unique names in all configuration. Now in both groups we create three events:
Now we need to assign the same button to every command, so connect your device to PC, click command Play and then press Assign Key. Then press Play/Pause button in GMedia. Repeat this procedure to all of six commands. In last step we need to disable one group. So right click on Winamp Play group and check Group disabled and save configuration using Save button.
To sum up, let's once more explain how it works. If you press Play/Pause button on your device GRemote skip actions in Winamp Play group because this group is disabled and run all actions in Winamp Pause group: send command Pause to Winamp, enable group Winamp Play and disable group Winamp Pause. So if you press Play/Pause button next time, actions in Winamp Pause group will be ignored and all action in Winamp Play group will be executed. Every time you press Play/Pause active group is switched, and actions in active group is executed.
In the same way you can create more groups and toggle more actions with one button. If you create three groups two of them should be disabled at start. First group should disable itself and enables second group. The second should disable itself and enables third, and the third should disable itself and enables first.
